My father, Eugene Glasper, passed away at
the young age of 50 from diabetes complications. He
passed in March of 2005, and since then I’ve been trying
to figure out how to make people AWARE of Health Care
issues without scaring them off. A-TOWN DAY was born! We
promote the festival & concert to draw the city together
so that we can effectively deliver our messages of
AWARENESS. We can be better prepared for real life
scenarios by learning about the warning signs and
preventative measures surrounding that situation. Now is
the time to spread the word! Lets educate the community
on a wide variety of health care, economic, and social
issues that we all face in today’s society. Let’s bring
Atlanta together and deliver the message in a positive
and uplifting environment. A-TOWN DAY!
The Diabetes Association of Atlanta
provides comprehensive programs to give people the tools
they need to properly manage their diabetes and reduce
the risks of life-threatening complications. The B-AWARE
Foundation connects the entertainment industry to the
health care industry and the community! We bring you
trendsetting positive events and initiatives like A-TOWN
DAY, THE GREEN EFFORT, & THE “MY PARENTS DIDN’T TEACH
ME” BOOK SERIES.
